Why are some of the tiles different colors?
The atmosphere varies throughout the kiln during a firing. Some areas of the kiln create a "toasty" clay color, some a golden color. If you are ordering a group of tiles to be displayed together, please let us know and we will match them accordingly.

What kind of nail(s) should I use to hang them?
Narrow diameter finishing nails (headless) work best; hammer them into your wall at an angle that matches the small slot in the back of the tile. If the tile doesn't hang flush against the wall it means you haven't hammered the nail in far enough; remove the tile and give the nail a gentle tap and try again until it hangs flush.

Are they really weatherproof?
When we say weatherproof, we mean weatherproof! One of our sun face tiles is hanging next to the front door of a house in northern Sweden 100 miles south of the arctic circle!

Since you use molds, are the tiles of each design identical?
No, since each tile is individually hand textured there are slight variations which make each tile unique! If Terry had to texture each tile the same as the one before she would go completely crazy! Making each tile special is what makes this work so rewarding (and fun)!

Are there other designs besides the ones shown?
New designs are always being created keep watching for new additions.

If I put the tiles outside and they get dirty, how do I clean them?
Soak them in hot soapy water (any dish soap will do) and then give them a scrub with a cleaning brush or, put them in your dishwater!
